The stars are set to shine on Miami. Major League Baseball on Friday announced Marlins Park will host the 2017 All-Star Game.

The news is a crowning achievement for Marlins and South Florida supporters determined for years to secure the summer showcase. It also caps a monumental "Hot Stove" season for the Marlins, which made a huge splash in November with the benchmark signing of two-time All-Star Giancarlo Stantonto the richest contract in baseball history.

And now the former American Idol judge has hopes to create the next great Latino boyband with the help of one of the biggest names in Latin pop: Ricky Martin.

It was announced on Thursday that the 43-year-old She Bang singer signed on to serve as executive producer and first celebrity judge for the singing competition show titled La Banda, even agreeing to become the winning five-person group's manager.

Ricky Martin Release First Release In Four Years

“A Quien Quiera Escuchar” is the 10th studio release and the first in four years from Latin superstar Ricky Martin, who first achieved stardom at age 13 in 1984 as a member of Puerto Rican boy band Menudo.

The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, was the keynote speaker at the Monday, February 2, luncheon for the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach. The luncheon was a joint meeting of the Forum Club and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Sotomayor became the first Hispanic justice and the third woman to serve on the Supreme Court when she was chosen by President Barack Obama to replace retiring Justice David Souter. Sotomayor spoke about a number of issues at the luncheon today, focusing on her background and how important the law is to her and her fellow justices. Sotomayor also spoke about her feelings about cameras in the court room, and how she had revised her opinion on them, and was no longer in support of them.
