Challenging Florida’s Same-Sex Marriage Ban

On April 21, members of NOW and supporters took part in a program at Compass in Lake Worth, entitled Challenging Florida’s Same-Sex Marriage

Ban. Featured speaker Elizabeth Schwartz, Esq. was one of the attorneys who filed a challenge to Florida’s same sex marriage ban, on January 21, 2014 in the Miami Dade Circuit Court. Also in attendance were Jo and Arian, and their son Sixten, who are Palm Beach County moms, who are seeking the right to marry in Florida. The event was sponsored by Compass GLCC and Palm Beach County National Organization for Women. NOW has proudly supported Equal Marriage since 2006.
